Woman tried to punch policeman

A woman told a police officer: 'You better get out of my house whoever you are,' a court heard.

Karen Quinlan, 45, of Danesbury Place, Blackpool, pleaded guilty to breach of the peace.

Pam Smith, prosecuting, said police were called to Quinlan’s address on February 25 at 3.50am.

Quinlan, who was described as extremely drunk, to the court, was arrested after she subsequently tried to punch a police officer.

Stephen Duffy, defending, said Quinlan had had an argument with her son. She had drunk alcohol and the next thing she remembered was waking up in the cells.

Quinlan was bound over in the sum of £100 for six months by District Judge Jeff Brailsford sitting at Blackpool Magistrates’ Court.
