Woman jailed for airport bomb hoax
Jane Brennan made the false call to the emergency services because she was drunk and annoyed over her partner taking his sister to the airport.
Preston Crown Court heard today the threat was taken seriously and security procedures were adopted that morning last November before it was deemed to be a hoax. The call was traced to Brennan who struggled with police when arrested.

Hide AdBrennan, 46, formerly of Gardeners Mews, Blackpool pleaded guilty today to an offence of making a bomb hoax.
Her lawyer told the court it had been a stupid thing to do, but the public had not been put in panic by her actions, nor had a flight that morning to Alicante been delayed.
He said she had grappled with alcoholism for many years and needed help and guidance.
Judge Michael Byrne said airports are particularly vulnerable to such a threat, where large numbers of people congregate and where there is a potential to cause mayhem, fear, panic and distress.
