Woman found safe and well

A woman who went missing from Thornton has been found safe and well.

Police had appealed for information after Joan Wadeson, 89, was last seen leaving her home address on Rough Lea Road at around 6pm on Wednesday.

She was seen walking in the direction of Rossall Road and police were concerned for her safety.

But officers have now confirmed she has been found safely in Cleveleys.
