The extreme weather conditions and heavy rain caused widespread flooding across Lancashire this morning, with roads in Thornton, Kirkham, Thistleton, Freckleton and Lancaster closed.

A yellow weather warning issued by the Met Office for thunderstorms is in place until Thursday.
