The Woodlands Road regeneration plan in Ansdell started last year with a £200,000 project to improve pavements, street lighting and parking on the village’s high street.

A further £70,000, as part of a funding agreement from a development in Heyhouses Lane, St Annes, will be used close to Seymour Road, with tree planting, new paving and bollards expected.

The work, if approved, will start next month and will take around four weeks to complete.

A spokesman for the council said current work has “proved popular” with residents.

Fylde Council’s cabinet is to meet tonight at St Annes town hall from 5.30pm.
