Village in bloom for flower celebration
Freckleton was visited by the Britain in Bloom judges last week after being awarded a silver gilt at the competition last year.
Sue Lee, chairman at Freckleton in Bloom, said: “I don’t think we could have done any more. I think it went very well and I hope we can pick up a gold prize.

“We have been working on the Britain in Bloom campaign since October. Everyone has worked really hard, and because we work alongside the parish and they have their own gardeners, the church looks fantastic too.
“I think we did everything we possibly could. We do Britain in Bloom every year so come September we’ll start all over again.
“Anyone who doesn’t come to see it is missing out. It’s worth seeing.”
