VIDEO: Two men arrested after alleged robbery

Two men have been arrested after an alleged robbery in broad daylight outside a Fylde supermarket.

Security guards from a cash-in transit van were left shaken after allegedly being threatened by two men as they delivered cash to Morrisons, off Poulton Street, in Kirkham.

Police said the pair drove off in a silver Mercedes after their victims handed over the money.

Nobody was hurt and it is not thought weapons were used.

It is not yet known how much money was taken.

A Lancashire Police spokesman said: “Two men from Liverpool, aged 45 and 41, have been arrested on suspicion of robbery.”
