Video shows aftermath of blaze which ripped through both floors of a Blackpool home this morning

An investigation is underway after a fire tore through both floors of a terraced home in Blackpool this morning (June 24).

Fire crews found both the upstairs and downstairs of the Edelston Road home well alight when they arrived at the scene at 3.22am.

Four fire engines attended, with crews from Blackpool, South Shore and Bispham using breathing apparatus and hose reels to bring the fire under control.

Firefighters also used a triple extension ladder and a thermal imaging camera, as well as other tools, to tackle the blaze.

Video taken at the scene shows the aftermath of the devastating fire which has gutted both floors of the terraced home.

There were no casualties reported.

Electricity North West has isolated the electrics and have warned that some properties in the street might lose power briefly.

Lancashire Fire and Rescue Service said the cause of the fire is now under investigation.
