UPDATE: Police continue talks with young male on castle hotel roof
A male who was seen on the roof of the Norbreck Castle Hotel remained at the scene as of 10pm tonight.
Officers were called to reports of the young male on the roof of the hotel on Queen's Promenade at around 7pm.
He could be seen throwing debris, including slates and drain piping, off the side of the building.
A second male who also climbed onto the building was apprehended by police.
Road closures remained in place at the back of Norbreck Castle as of 10pm. Police officers remained at the scene.
