Lancashire traffic updates after crash on M6 between Leyland and Standish

There are delays on the M6 after a crash near Leyland this morning (Tuesday, October 24).

Lane 3 is currently closed both ways after a crash between junctions 27 (Standish) and 28 (Leyland).

The accident happened on the northbound carriageway but the southbound lane is also closed due to damage to the central reservation barrier.

National Highways say delays are currently around 15 minutes against expected traffic conditions.

The lane closures are expected to be lifted around 9.30am.

It is not clear whether anyone has been injured at this stage.

Lancashire Police have been approached for further details.
