Arrests made after 19-year-old is stabbed in Bloomfield Road

A police spokesman said: "We were called at around 10.45pm yesterday (Sunday, February 2) to reports that a man had been found with a stab injury on Bloomfield Road, Blackpool.
"The 19-year-old was taken to hospital where he remains in a stable condition.

Hide Ad"Two men were arrested a short time later on Central Drive in connection with the incident.
"They are a 25-year-old man from Blackpool on suspicion of being in possession of an offensive weapon and assault (GBH) and a 28-year-old man of no fixed address on suspicion of assault (GBH).
"The pair remain in police custody at this time.
"We are in the early stages of our investigation and are asking anyone who saw what happened or knows any information about it to call 101 quoting incident reference 1685 of February 28."
Bloomfield Road has been shut since the early hours of the morning and remains closed both ways between Seasiders Way and Central Drive.

Hide AdSaville Road, St Heliers Road and Seymour Road, opposite the football stadium, have also been closed to traffic and pedestrians.
