A585 Fleetwood Road closed near M55 due to flooding

The A585 Fleetwood Road in the Fylde has been closed due to flooding this morning (Monday, August 11)

Police shut part of the road, between Back Lane and the M55 exit slip at junction 3, at around 6.50am due to water on the road.

Motorists are being advised to avoid the area around Esprick until it is safe to reopen.

A police spokesman said: "Please be aware that part of the A585 Fleetwood Road has been closed due to water on the road.

"The area affected is where you come off the M55 at junction 3

"Please avoid the area.

"We will reopen the road as soon as we can, please remain patient, your safety is our priority."
