Traffic chaos as tram breaks down on Talbot Road in Blackpool town centre as passengers forced off

A tram has come to a stop in Blackpool town centre, causing traffic issues as authorities look to solve the issue.
This morning, a tram travelling down Talbot Road in Blackpool town centre appeared to come to a halt. The incident prompted confusion as to whether the vehicle had broken down, was stuck, or had been forced to stop for another reason.
Officials in high-vis vests were seen at the front of the tram discussing the incident.
Traffic was also being directed around the vehicle, which had come to a complete stop in the middle of the road.

Passengers on the tram had also been forced to disembark and continue their journeys on foot in the wet and rainy conditions.
A video of the incident showed officials speaking to passengers and making emergency calls regarding the unplanned stop.
