Resort road blocked after crash between lorry and car

The accident happened when a silver Ford Fusion car travelling down Cocker Street collided with a white Daf truck travelling down Dickson Road, police said.

Police and paramedics were called at around 7.05am, a spokesman for Lancashire Police said, but nobody is believed to have been seriously hurt.

The driver of the Ford was shaken up, while the driver of the lorry was complaining of a sore neck, he added.

Blackpool Transport said it has been forced to divert bus services three and four away from the scene until it is cleared.
