Promenade closed following bus crash

A major Blackpool road is closed following a collision involving a car and a bus.

The incident, involving a Blackpool Transport bus and an Audi happened on Queen’s Promenade, outside the Cliffs Hotel at around 4.15pm today.

The bus is understood to have been operating a northbound line one service at the time of the incident.

Lancashire Police said nobody was seriously injured in the accident.

However fuel and oil have been spilled in the road forcing the closure of both lanes.

Blackpool Transport has arranged for recovery of its damaged vehicle.
