M55 reopens westbound after biker accident
Police have tonight closed two lanes of the westbound M55 after junction three because of an accident involving a biker.
The accident happened in this evening's rush hour between Kirkham and Marton and the carriageway was closed to allow accident investigators to do their work.
Motorway police also closed junction three to allow trapped traffic to be released after a backlog built up.
Lancashire Road police said: "We have had to temporarily close junction 3 to westbound traffic. Lanes 2 and 3 also to release trapped traffic. Hopefully won’t be too long."
The road reopened just after 9pm.
