The fire started between junctions 35 for Carnforth and 36 for Lonsdale.
Normal traffic conditions are expected at around 7.30am on June 19.

All lanes have now re-opened.
Fire closes one lane of northbound M6
One lane has been closed on the northbound M6 following a vehicle fire, say Highways England.
