Devonshire Road roundabout blocked after car hits railings

A woman driving the light-coloured Nissan Micra is understood to have suffered a minor knee injury in the crash, which happened at around 4pm today.

A picture uploaded to Twitter by police officers showed the car badly damaged, with oil spilled onto the road.

In the background, police cars can be seen blocking off the roundabout, which is close to the junction with Warbreck Hill Road.

The force tweeted to say officers were 'waiting for recovery to arrive' at 5pm, and said there were 'no serious injuries'.
