The Farthings nursing home celebrates an outstanding rating at Care Quality Commission inspection
“It’s not an easy feat to receive an outstanding rating in any of the domains”
A Blackpool nursing home has earned an outstanding rating in the well-led category of its latest inspection by the Care Quality Commission.
The Farthings home at Wilson Square, Little Bispham was rated ‘good’ in all other sections of the inspection - safe, effective, caring and responsive - which was carried out between between March 10 and April 13 and recently published.

Diane Daniels, the home’s business manager, said: “We are obviously extremely proud of this and the manager Karen Phillips is over the moon.
“It’s not an easy feat to receive an outstanding rating in any of the domains and there aren't many large nursing homes in Blackpool that have achieved this.”
The Farthings provides accommodation for adults who required nursing or personal care, and at the time of the assessment, 53 people were living there.
The CQC report said that the service at The Farthings demonstrated a consistently good standard of care, supported by effective leadership, a positive culture and well-established systems.
