Crews were called just after 3am on Friday (July 17) to a fire at Blackpool's historic Central Pier.
Lancashire Fire and Rescue Service's incident commander Mark Winder said the blaze involved a workshop and a ride half way down the Pier.
The fire quickly escalated to 10 crews being sent to the scene, he said.

An investigation will be launched to find out the cause of the fire, he said, and a "number of roads" will be closed for "one to two hours at minimum."
