Teenager suffers 'head injuries' after 'falling from roof of hotel' in Blackpool

An air ambulance has landed outside Blackpool Tower to help a teenage boy who has reportedly suffered head injuries following a fall.

Emergency services rushed to reports a teenage boy had fallen from the roof of a hotel in Albert Road at around 2.55pm today (December 8).

The Comedy Carpet in front of Blackpool Tower has been cleared to allow the air ambulance to land, and numerous vehicles including a rapid response vehicle, a land ambulance, and an operational commander are at the scene.

The boy has reportedly sustained head and leg injuries as a result of the incident.

A spokesman for Lancashire Police said: "We were called at around 3.05pm today (Tuesday, December 8) to reports a teenage boy had fallen from the roof of a hotel on Albert Road, Blackpool.

"Emergency services, including the air ambulance, are currently at the scene and a cordon is in place around the hotel."

The North West Ambulance Service has been approached for comment.
