Teen charged with four murders

A TEENAGER has been charged with murdering four siblings in a house fire.

Dyson Allen, 19, will appear in court on Friday morning charged with four counts of murder.

Reece Smith, 19, four-year-old twin girls Holly and Ella Smith and Jordan Smith, aged two, were killed in a the fire at the house in Lytham Road in Freckleton in January.

They were taken to hospital but later died.

Allen, of no fixed address, was arrested at an address outside Lancashire on Wednesday morning and quizzed by detectives before being charged on Thursday afternoon.

Joanne Cunliffe, Crown Advocate for the CPS North West Complex Casework Unit, said: “Following a detailed investigation by Lancashire Police, I have reviewed the evidence that they have gathered and authorised them to charge Dyson Allen with four counts of murder.

“The charges are that on January 7 Dyson Allen murdered Reece Smith, Ella Smith, Holly Smith and Jordan Smith.

“He has been remanded in custody and will appear before Blackpool Magistrates’ Court on December 14.

“This decision was made in accordance with the Code for Crown Prosecutors.

“I have concluded that there is sufficient evidence to prosecute and it is in the public interest to do so.”
