Three finalists have their monologues recorded and sent to PQA headquarters for the chance to represent their academy at national level.

Thirty national finalists will travel to London later this year to perform in front of a specially invited audience.

Luke played Jesse Donovan on the soap for two years and was delighted to watch the students in action and provided some great tips for the young performers.

The Hollyoaks star said: “I thoroughly enjoyed my visit to PQA Fylde.

“All of the kids were so warm-hearted and kind.

“It was lovely to see such enthusiasm for acting and encouragement of others who perhaps weren’t as confident.”

PQA Fylde members will be performing with ‘popera’ – a genre that merges opera and popular music – sensation G4 on Tuesday, December 4 at the Blackpool Tower Ballroom.

PQA Fylde is enrolling now for classes run on Saturdays from 9.45am until 1pm.

Sessions are held at Highfield Leadership Academy, Highfield Road, Blackpool.
