Take your shot at a helicopter hole in one
Later this month Lytham Green Drive Golf Club, in Ballam Road, Lytham, is hosting the Fylde coast’s first charity golf ball drop.
The club is inviting Gazette readers to enter the competition, where they will be given a numbered ball.

The event, part of a tournament organised by crime-fighting group Crimestoppers, is believed to be one of only a handful to take place in the UK.
Green Drive assistant secretary Sarah Murphy said: “Crimestoppers is holding a charity golf day on the same day as Lytham Club day, which is nothing too out of the ordinary – however after the competition a helicopter will be dropping 1,000 golf balls on to the course with names of the people who purchase them.
“If your ball goes into a hole you win a cash prize.
“I have heard of a golf club doing this down south before, but I have never heard of it being done around here.”

Mr Davies said: “I think there has only been two in the UK before. It is quite unusual. The helicopter will be coming from Heli 2000 at Blackpool Airport.
“The helicopter will fly down and pick the balls up, then drop them from a height of 60ft.”
The tournament will be held on June 27.
The day features a four ball stableford, shotgun start over 18 holes for £50 per player, including a bacon roll and coffee on arrival, green fees, a two course presentation dinner and prizes.
