It is being organised by experienced film conventions expert Sean Harry of Starfury Conventions whose father Bill Harry founded the Mersey Beat music magazine, was a friend of Beatles John Lennon and Stuart Sutcliffe and who worked with rock legends such as Pink Floyd, Jethro Tull and David Bowie

Bill said: “This is a very exciting event with some top names from the superhero films and TV series.

“The artists will be doing various appearances, signing autographs, giving Q&A sessions and talks, having photographs taken with fans.

“These events are hugely popular and attract fans for the whole weekend. Many of them will be dressed in costume so it should be great fun.

“Sean has been running these for 20 years. We have done many high profile events in London but wanted to bring them to Blackpool. A lot of the US artiste=s are really keen to see Blackpool, which is known as a holiday destination. It’s something different to London for them!”
