Stirring up lots of baking skills

The youngsters were invited to Sainsbury’s on Red Bank Road in Bispham to meet the bakery staff behind the scenes.

Becky Alesbury, bakery manager, said: “We let them paste their own bread to make it giraffe bread and they decorated gingerbread men.

“They created a barker for display in our shop with a greetings message to their families and they also had fun singing the Christmas advert.

The children had a great time, and all went home with treats.

“The pupils were chosen from across the school for good behaviour and this was a little treat for their hard work.

“Both the children and the colleagues at Red Bank Road thoroughly enjoyed the afternoon.”
