11 pictures of Stanley Park's iconic Cocker Clock Tower after restoration work ahead of centenary celebrations

The newly restored Cocker Clock Tower is once again lighting up Stanley Park

Following restoration work carried out as part of the park's centenary celebrations, Stanley Park’s Cocker Clock Tower is ready to mark another milestone in the form of the park’s 100th anniversary.

One of Blackpool's best-known landmarks, the park first opened in 1926 and, for a century, the Grade II-listed park has served as a popular green space for both residents and visitors, combining heritage, recreation and natural beauty.

It has also been recognised nationally, having twice been voted the UK's best park in a public vote involving more than 360 parks and green spaces. While centenary events are taking place throughout the year, the main celebrations are scheduled for 2 and 3 October, with Friday 2 October marking the official 100th anniversary of the park's opening.

Below is a picture gallery showcasing the restored Cocker Clock Tower, now illuminated once again as one of Stanley Park's most recognisable features.
