Sir Stan menu set to go under hammer

A multi-autographed menu and programme from the 80th birthday celebrations of Sir Stanley Matthews is up for sale in Suffolk.

The banquet took place in 1995 and was attended by the great and the good of the football world.

Among those to sign the menu were, Stanley himself, and ex-England team-mates Wilf Mannion, Sir Tom Finney, Eddie Bailey and Bill Nicholson.

The menu and programme are with Lockdales, the auctioneers of Martlesham, near Ipswich, and they will put it under the hammer on July 9. The guide price is £70 to £80.
