David Rix, 29, who owns scaffolding business Crown Scaffolders has now stepped in to help.

He described the work as “atrocious” and has called in his friends at Kirkham Roofers, in Kirkham to fix the job “at cost price”.

Here's what you had to say....

Always remember no decent builder will say he wants the money up front, and if he does then don't employ him.

Don Jesson

I have a couple of builders I would warn people to stay away from.

They are still getting work.

They give the great quote that beats everyone.

If anyone knows Lavern can they ask her to contact me through Facebook, I had the exact same problem last year, £3000 and 10 weeks with no roof and was told by trading standards that this was a civil matter and take him to court, impossible as he is nowhere to be seen wonder if it’s the same person.

Anita Horrobin

I know this lady very well.

She's a heart of gold and very genuine. X
