Scouting Snapshots
Like many other Scout groups in Blackpool, on the Fylde coast, and up and down the country, the youngsters marked St George’s Day by either making shields, dressing up, decorating biscuits, and learning just a little bit more of the history of their patron saint, chosen by our founder Robert Baden Powell.
The youngsters aged between six and eight did a variety of tasks supported by the leaders, and had a great time.

The ceremony was led by district commissioner Derek Wright, and saw Rose Marshall receiving the highly prestigious Bar to the Silver Acorn award and Chris Campbell, and Dennis Harrison awarded the Silver Acorn.
