Rumour of affair with hotel owner led to assault

Lee Colley threw her onto a bed and punched her about eight times in the head a judge was told.

Colley, 32, formerly of The Vidella Hotel, Dickson Road, Blackpool, now living on the Promenade in the resort, pleaded guilty to assault.

Chrissie Hunt, prosecuting, said Colley accused his girlfriend of having a relationship with the hotel owner and punched her repeatedly in the head, on March 21

Steven Townley, defending, said his client admitted pushing her and slapping her twice in the face but not punching her.

Colley was bailed for a special hearing where evidence will be given by both the prosecution and defence on April 5, by District Judge Rod Ross sitting at Blackpool Magistrates’ Court.
