Pupils' Wesminster trip

A group of sixth form students at Highfurlong School earned a trip to the Houses of Parliament top pick up an award for their work raising awareness of issues facing disabled people.

They were invited by speaker of the Commons John Bercow for their disability awareness project as part of the Speaker’s School Council Awards.

School business manager Samantha Butcher said: “The group had a tour of Westminster and were lucky enough to have lunch in the Speaker’s private apartments before the ceremony.”
