Poulton ‘fifth best place to live’
Poulton claimed fifth place in a study of post codes carried out on behalf of Royal Mail.
The Centre for Economic and Business Research, which carried out the survey, took into account a range of factors including schools, access to green spaces, employment prospects, affordable housing and average commuting times.

Hide AdIt found the FY6 post code was among the best in the country. Bebington, in the Wirral, topped the list with another North West town – Cumbria’s Dalton-in-Furness – taking third place.
Steve Rooney, Royal Mail head of address management, said: “Our study provides unique insight into the most desirable places to live and work.”
