If approved by Wyre Council six detached homes will be built on land behind Ash Lea Farm, off Carr End Lane in Stalmine.

Some 19 parking spaces will be included in the development, with each property containing four or more bedrooms, documents showed.

Applicant Shard Developments said the spaces between houses were "also seen as rooms to be designed," and "characterless access roads [were] avoided in favour of making places which feel safe for children to meet and play, and which give each development an individual character."

The application is the latest development proposal for the village, after plans for two eighty-bed care homes and up to 50 new houses on land off Stricklands Lane were also lodged with planners in recent months.

They follow an application by Wainhomes to build 84 properties on Carr End Lane, and another development by the house builders for 77 homes, which has already been approved.
