No details of the incident have been given at the review hearings eld so far, but a Health and Safety Executice listing for the date says the deceased was struck by an object hearing.
Blackpool and Fylde assistant coroner Timothy Holloway said at an earlier review hearing that he was unable to set a date for an inquest while the police were still investigating but indicated that when it does take place, it is likely to be heard by a jury.
Under the Coroners and Justice Act 2009, a jury must be called if the death occurred due to a notifiable accident, which commonly includes fatal accidents at work or severe health and safety failures.
Mr Holloway has scheduled a further review for February 22 but has said he will require a substantive report on progress of the police and HSE reports on the incident by three weeks before that in case he needs to postpone that date.
