Police hunting Blackpool attacker name suspect

Police have today issued a picture of a man they are hunting in connection with a “serious” attack.

Officers have named the suspect as 24-year-old Edward Plumb.

He is wanted following an incident in Blackpool town centre last month.

Police have appealed to anyone who has seen Plumb to get in touch.

It follows an attack on Queen Street on May 22 when police were called at 2.45pm by paramedics who attended the scene.

The victim, a 20-year-old woman was treated for a cut to her hand, caused by a piece of glass, following the attack.

PC Andrew Parr, based at Blackpool Police station, said: “Police are seeking assistance in tracing Edward Plumb.

He is wanted with regard to a serious assault that occurred on May 22 on Queen Street, Blackpool.

“If anyone knows the whereabouts of Plumb, please contact us.”

Anyone with information is asked to call PC Andrew Parr at Blackpool Police Station on 101.
