Police have cordoned off Lord Street in Fleetwood after an incident with a pedestrian.
Motorists are being advised to avoid the area after the pedestrian, believed to be an elderly man, was hit by a car.
A spokesperson for Lancashire Police confirmed the man had been taken to hospital.
