Police are investigating.
Police are appealing for footage and information following two reported incidents in Fleetwood, including an alleged assault involving a 12-year-old boy.
Shortly after 4.25pm on Wednesday August 19, police received a report of a disturbance involving a number of children and an adult on Memorial Park in Fleetwood. It was reported that a 12-year-old boy was assaulted and had racist comments made to him by an adult man during the altercation. Police said the boy suffered minor injuries.
A second report was later received concerning a man who had allegedly attempted to steal a van parked on Carr Road. The man is also reported to have assaulted the driver of the van as they attempted to stop him.

They said there were a number of people in the area at the time of the reported assault involving the child, and some may have filmed the incident.
“It is really important that we see any footage taken as part of our enquiries,” police said, making a direct appeal for anyone with footage to come forward as soon as possible.
Anyone with mobile phone footage, dashcam footage or CCTV of either reported incident, or anyone with information which could assist the investigation, is asked to contact police on 101, quoting log 0888 of 19th August.
