Police appeal after cross theft

Police have launched an appeal for information after a theft from a hospital chapel.

Officers are appealing for help to trace a woman in connection with theft of a wooden cross from Blackpool Victoria Hospital in Whinney Heys Road.

The incident happened sometime between 11.30am and 6.30pm on Friday, August 7.

It is thought a woman went into the chapel and removed a handmade wooden cross from the altar. It is believed she placed the cross in a bag and walked out of the hospital.

Anyone with information about the identity of the woman pictured should contact PC 3152 Mark Southwell on 101 quoting log number 0475 of August 9.
