Proud pet owners took the dogs along to Courtyard Stables in Lytham show they could show off their skills and boost funds for the charity.

Each canine taking part was rewarded with its very own ‘superhero’ cake as both owners and dogs enjoyed a picnic. While the humans tucked into sandwiches and cake there was a host of doggy treats on offer. Afterwards the dogs were put through their paces on an agility course.

Everyone taking part donated £10 to Guide Dogs for the Blind and took the chance to teach their old dogs some new tricks.
