Picture special: Freckleton Club Day
Crowds in their hundreds lined the streets of Freckleton to watch the annual club day procession wind its way round the village’s streets.
The fun-packed event, full of pageantry and colour, was held on Saturday, the day before the Freckleton Half-Marathon.
Rose Queens for 2013 were Jennifer Hayes for Holy Family Church, Libby Steele for Holy Trinity Church and Christine Chesworth as the Methodist Church representative.

Hide AdThe afternoon concluded with children’s sports at the Bush Lane fields.
Stan Thompson, from the Three Churches Club Day Committee, said: “Everyone had a fantastic day and it was great to see so many people out in Freckleton celebrating th event.
“It was lovely weather of course, which was a bonus.”
