Person rescued after getting stuck in mud in Freckleton

Three fire engines from Longridge, Preston and Penwortham were called out to a field in Freckleton after a person became stuck in mud yesterday, March 20.

Crews were called out at 3:39 pm yesterday following reports of a person who needed rescuing from mud near Naze Lane East in Freckleton.

Firefighters worked with the Coastguard using a stretcher to rescue them safely.

A spokesperson for the Lancashire Fire and Rescue Service said: "Three fire engines from Longridge, Penwortham and Preston were called to rescue a person from mud near Naze Lane East, Freckleton.

"Firefighters worked with the Coastguard to rescue one person using a stretcher."
