M&Y Maintenance and Construction will complete works after the original contractor, Bardsley Construction, entered administration before Christmas and further delays were caused by the lockdown.

Work re-started on Monday, with all staff receiving additional training on how to work safely during these times.

Steve Newsham, Regional Director at Regenda Homes, said: “ We’re delighted that works are ready to start again at Lighthouse View.

“This is a flagship development that will provide much needed Extra Care accommodation for older residents in Fleetwood and the surrounding areas.”

Despite the development being a highly prestigious one, there has been criticism from some neighbouring residents over massive disruption during construction, including claims that homes have been damaged.
