What a tree-mendous boost for Trinity

Two weeks on from Christmas Day, the festive season is well and truly over and volunteers have been out and about collecting Christmas trees from homes across the Fylde coast.

Almost 2,000 trees are being collected over this weekend, generating a record amount of around £24,000 in donations to Trinity Hospice.

Early next month, the trees will be planted in the sands at St Annes under the Fylde sand dunes restoration project and our photographer DAN MARTINO caught up with some of the volunteers delivering the spruces to a deposit point at St Annes.
