Education charity worker Katrina Kelly celebrated her 25th birthday on February 22 by making the most of the particularly notable date - 22.2.22 – to boost the coffers of two good causes.

Money is still coming in and Katrina said the response has been beyond her wildest dreams.

"I'm so grateful for everyone's support," she said.

“This will really help both these inspiring community groups, which do so much to bring people together and offer friendship and support, as they’re needed now more than ever to support many more local people.

“The donations have been wonderful and thanks also to everyone who came along and cheered me on - it really was very welcome.”

Katrina was serenaded by the Connect Community Choir as she did her press-ups session at Our Lady Star of the Sea Parish Centre, where Fylde mayor Coun Elaine Silverwood and deputy mayoress Coun Sue Fazackerley also went along to offer their support.

Either side of that, Wesley’s Cafe at Church Road Methodist Church was the venue for the start and end of the run and for the cycling.
