Paul Dobie, Peter Anthony, Emily Adams, the AKS Choir, RNLI Shanty Crew, Emma Louise Jackson and Zumba Suzy are all confirmed performers on Saturday, November 28, from 2pm.

A tribute to Bobby was part of the virtual switch-on in neighbouring Lytham two weeks ago and the St Annes feature is scheduled for 15 minutes before the lights go on at 5pm,.

The whole afternoon will be available to view of the Facebook site of organisers St Annes Town Council.

Videos of performances along with messages from local businesses will continue to be available throughout December and the Town Council says it has been overwhelmed with the response.

“We asked for your Christmas messages and performances to show the spirit of St Annes and the outcome was overwhelming in quantity, quality and emotionally,” said a spokesman.

“Thank you so much to everyone who has contributed so far.

"We’re looking forward to seeing all of the community involvement with St Annes at the heart of it. While this has been a difficult and challenging year for everyone, to quote our much-missed Bobby Ball, ‘Together we will be OK’.

“But please note no activities will take place in the town centre when the lights are switched on and we ask that people do not congregate.”
