Tickets on sale for Fylde mayor's charity ball

Tickets are now on sale for the event which will feature entertainment of vocalist Mark Jay and help raise further funds for Coun Aitken’s chosen charities for his mayoral year – Trinity Hospice, the 1st Lytham Scout Group based at St Cuthbert’s Church and Fylde Citizens Advice Bureau.

"There are all great causes,” said Coun Aitken, who has been accompanied in his mayoral year by his wife Bernadette Nolan as mayoress.

The mayor holds a seat in Ansdell ward but is bringing down the curtain on 15 years as a Fylde councillor with his spell as first citizen, as he plans to step down from the role at the elections in May.
