On Monday the new Michelin stars were unveiled at The Michelin Guide Ceremony 2026, held at the Convention Centre in Dublin.
A Michelin star is the highest international accolade in the restaurant industry, awarded by the Michelin Guide for exceptional cooking, quality ingredients, and culinary mastery. Based on anonymous inspector reviews, they are awarded based on five strict criteria: ingredient quality, flavor harmony, technique mastery, chef’s personality in the food, and consistency.
The highest number a single restaurant can receive is three.
Take a look at some of the beloved dining spots across Lancashire to retain their much-deserved Michelin stars.
