Star Wars starting to land in Cleveleys
The craft are arriving as the Star Wars universe prepares to land in Cleveleys.
Fans of the galactic saga have been buzzing with excitement as a film crew prepares to begin production in Disney’s latest instalment.
Production crews understood to be E&E Industries at Pinewood Studios – who have previously been tied to Star Wars – have arrived for eight days of filming for an unnamed 12-part series.
Road closures will be in place from Friday to May 11 on sections of the promenade, while filming is underway.
Filming has already been underway at London’s Pinewood Studios and is expected to run into the summer.
The 12-part live-action prequel series telling the story of the rebel spy Cassian Andor was confirmed by Disney CEO Bob Iger late last year, with Mexican actor Diego Luna set to reprise his role as Andor.
It is currently scheduled to air on the Disney + streaming channel in 2022.
