Odeon, Vue and Cineworld shut UK cinemas amid Covid-19 coronavirus pandemic
and live on Freeview channel 276
The decision follows advice yesterday (March 16) from Prime Minister Boris Johnson, who advised people to avoid public venues to reduce the spread of Covid-19.
"The priority now is to ensure that thousands working in the sector are helped during an exceptionally challenging period for them, and that UK cinema venues are supported during what, for many, represents an unprecedented challenge to their existence."

Hide AdThere are more than 120 Odeon cinemas in the UK and Ireland, Vue has 91, while Cineworld has 100, and runs 24 Picturehouse sites.
A spokesman for Odeon Cinemas said: "Following Government guidelines Odeon Cinemas are closed until further notice.
"If you have pre-booked tickets online, these will be refunded automatically."
A spokesman for Vue Cinemas said: "Since the first news of the COVID-19 outbreak, we have been doing everything we can to provide a high quality, enjoyable and safe big screen experience for our customers.

"As you would expect, we are also doing our part by putting employment policies in place so that our staff are protected and are not penalised financially.
